Today at BUBA champ show Dezi won BEST OF BREED
under Rob McLeod. This was his first outing since Crufts!!
The journey to the Three Counties Showground was very long and
then having to stay until the end of the day for Best in Show
meant I did not get home until 9.30pm. Poor Dezi was shattered
and took himself straight to bed. I also handled Indi (Moonbears
Indigo to Eskaidee) a lovely black daughter of Santa's in the
Schnauzer ring and then handled Ty (Caoilta Nemesis) in the
Junior Stakes class so I was pretty shattered myself by the
end of it all.

Today Liubice Crazy Diamond
For Caoilta joined the gang, "Floyd" to his friends,
was bred by Nikki Thurston. His sire is German import Nemo Aus
Dem Norden and his Dam is Rossfort Pazzmina from Luibice who
is half German. This little fellow has tons of personality and
is very outgoing and confident into everything and constantly
on the go! I think he will take after his mother in that respect

Today I took Dilli and Mitzi to Driffield Championship show.
The weather was awful, windy and raining and the ground was
very muddy and wet. The judging took place undercover but even
there the ground was like a quagmire in places. Mitzi made the
long trip very worthwhile by coming away with 1st in Limit Bitch
and the Res. CC!! This qualifies her for
life for Crufts and gets her stud book number! Dilli also qualified
for Crufts 2007 today.
16.9.06
Dilli's second Championship show, and her last as a puppy, was
at Darlington. She won 1st in Puppy Bitch, then BEST
PUPPY and Res. BEST BITCH. Nikki and Bert
also did well and came away with BEST DOG.
Dilli's puppy career has been very short as I have not attended
many shows so far this year but I am delighted with what she
has achieved.
16.9.06
Dilli attended her very first Championship show at Richmond,
her mum Mitzi came along too. We traveled to the show with Nikki
(Liubice German Spitz) and her Bert and Lollop.
I was delighted when Dilli won 1st Puppy Dog/Bitch then went
on to win BEST PUPPY.
Mitzi won 1st Open Bitch and then BEST BITCH!
Nikki was delighted when Bert was awarded BEST
DOG and BEST OF BREED! The judge was breed
specialist Ellen Blight.
We had a fantastic day between us and the car was weighed
down with goodies we had won.

The British Canaan Dog Society held their 3rd Annual Fun Rally
today. I dusted the cobwebs off Dezi, Twix, Mitzi and Dilli
and took them for a day out. First of all Twix, Dilli and Mitzi
all had their eyes tested and were all clear
Then came the match, Dilli won 1st in the puppy class, Dezi
won the Open class then went on to get BEST IN
MATCH and BEST CANAAN IN MATCH! Mitzi and I entered some novelty
classes and came 2nd in "Dog most like owner" (we
went for the dumb blonde theme)
So all in all a great day and once again the weather was kind
to us with bright sunshine.
12.05.06
Yesterday at Birmingham Championship show Ty (Caoilta Nemesis)
won 1st Minor Puppy Dog and went on to
win BEST PUPPY DOG
2.4.06
Took Dilli, Mitzi and Twix to the German Spitz Club Open Show
today where we did very well!
Dilli, at her very first show, got a 1st in Minor
Puppy Bitch and Reserve Best Puppy Bitch!
And Mitzi got a 1st in Limit Bitch and
went on to get BEST BITCH! Not bad considering
this was the first show she had been to since this time last
year! I was very proud of Dilli's litter brother, Caoilta Nemesis
(Ty), who was awarded 1st in Minor Puppy Dog
and Reserve Best Puppy Dog!
he and Dilli are like peas in a pod, in attitude as well
as looks. Sadly Caoilta Trident (Millie) could not be there
as she is in season. It was wonderful to see Ty and his new
owners again and to hear what he gets up to at home. Little
Dilli was shattered and slept all the way home in the car but
is now rested and back to her usual non stop self

Dezi
triumphs at Crufts again
Once
again Dezi has done us proud by winning BEST
OF BREED at Crufts. This is his third Crufts Best
of Breed and he is still under four years old! He was only shown
a couple of times in 2005 at Crufts and East of England where
he won Best of Breed on both occasions. Dezi is a very special
boy and I am so proud of his achievements. Twix returned to
Crufts this year but was not placed in a very large open dog
class. At 7 years old Twix will be taking it easy going out
and about to the occasional show but I will be concentrating
on Dilli and Dezi this year.
HAPPY
NEW YEAR!!
The
start of a brand new year. I will not be sad to see the back
of 2005. It could be described as the best and worst year of
my life. There is no further news on the murder of my sister,
her life has been reduced to a folder of evidence in a police
station office. The devastating effect this has had on myself
and all the members of my family cannot possibly be understood
by anyone unless they have actually been through the same thing
themselves. Although we all know life must go on not a single
day goes by without us asking "why?" and it certainly
puts life into perspective.
For
the first time in 5 years (I was working away from home in previous
years) we were able to spend a fantastic Christmas
and New Year together in our own house, we filled the house
with decorations and cards and bought a huge Christmas tree,
which the puppies found irresistible of course. With both of
us off work for the holiday we spent the time eating and relaxing
with the dogs in front of the TV.
We
had our annual holiday in Goa in November 2005, again it was
two weeks of complete relaxation, sun, sand, good food and great
company. We did miss the dogs while we were away and it was
great to see them again, although Santa completely refused to
speak to Mark for several days after we got back
I have hardly shown any of the dogs in 2005, but will be hitting
the circuit again in 2006. Dezi and Twix will be going out and
about joined by the latest member of the gang, Caoilta Virago,
or as she is known to her friends, Dilli. She is from my very
first litter of German Spitz, I chose the stud dog for his excellent
pigment, coat, short body, dark eye, tight high tail and excellent
temperament, and I am very pleased to say that he has passed
all of his good points to this litter.
Mitzi
had her litter in the 28th of September, she had 6 puppies in
total, 3 boys and 3 girls, but sadly the first born boy was
lifeless on arrival and despite our vigorous efforts he could
not be revived. The remaining puppies were strong and lively
and all white! All but Dilli and one boy, Dyson, have gone to
their new homes, Dyson is awaiting a visit from a prospective
owner who is interested in showing him. I really enjoyed the
experience of raising this litter, even though letting them
go to their new homes was very difficult, but I hear back from
their new owners regularly about their escapades and adventures.
So
here's to a fantastic 2006 for all!
